hola, i’m darina.

A Bolivian-born, Los Angeles based bilingual actor working in English and Spanish. I completed the two-year acting conservatory at HB Studio in New York, training in the Hagen technique, and hold dual BAs in Dance and Politics & Human Rights from Marymount Manhattan College.

My credits include the feature films Los Abrazos and The Redeemer, as well as Off-Broadway work with Repertorio Español and GALA Hispanic Theatre in Washington, D.C.

I’m compelled by the messy, deeply personal experiences that somehow become universal when we see them reflected back at us. That instinct also drives the work I create: I wrote, produced, and starred in the short film Ciruelo, which screened internationally and was named a semifinalist at the Cannes Indie Shorts Awards. I’m also the co-founder of Darila Productions, where I continue developing original narrative work.
